I think that since 2020, people's lives have changed at a fundamental level, leaving behind the constant "on-the-job" culture. Nowadays, the road to success isn't linear, it's twisted and bent, often with setbacks that might make an outsider think the person facing them is rudderless. In fact, that person is simply figuring out, on their own terms, what works best for them.

You pin point the exact time my mind began asking the same questions. After 2020 madness, I did not see how I should continue giving my all for a company that give next to nothing for mines. I started to want more than working after hours to catch up with emails and I wanted to not have guilt because I decided to take a random Wednesday off to simply sleep in late or go on a solo date. As disastrous as 2020 was - I am grateful for the shake off
